The AR-15 Ambidextrous Controls Upgrade Kit is a three-piece lower receiver controls package that converts a standard AR-15 to fully ambidextrous operation. The kit includes an ambidextrous safety selector with left and right side control, an extended ambidextrous bolt catch release in steel with an enlarged paddle design and enhanced manipulation surface, and an ambidextrous extended modular magazine release with a magazine catch in black. All components carry a black oxide and anodized black finish and are drop-in compatible with most Mil-Spec AR-15 lower receivers. The magazine release is also compatible with DPMS pattern AR-308 platforms. Installation hardware is included.

Ambidextrous Safety Selector

The ambidextrous safety selector provides equal selector lever access from both the left and right side of the lower receiver, replacing the standard single-side selector. Standard AR-15 lower receivers use a selector lever accessible only from the left side, which requires a right-handed shooter to break grip or a left-handed shooter to reach across the receiver for safe and fire transitions. The ambidextrous selector addresses both scenarios by providing a selector lever on each side that operates through the same selector detent and spring geometry as a standard Mil-Spec selector.

Extended Bolt Catch and Modular Magazine Release

The extended ambidextrous bolt catch release is steel with a black finish and an enlarged paddle design that provides an enhanced manipulation surface on both sides of the lower receiver for faster lock-back and bolt release access. The standard AR-15 bolt catch is accessible only from the left side at the front of the magazine well. The enlarged paddle design on this bolt catch extends the manipulation surface to the right side and increases the contact area for positive engagement during bolt hold-open and release. The ambidextrous extended modular magazine release is a black finish design with an extended control surface on both sides of the lower receiver for enhanced magazine release accessibility for left and right-handed shooters. The modular design allows for configuration adjustment and is compatible with both AR-15 and DPMS pattern AR-308 platforms.
