Today is the anniversary of one of the biggest days in the history of the World. Today marks the 46th anniversary of what is known as D-Day. Officially called "Operation Overlord", it was the biggest amphibious invasion in military history.

Being prepared is very important. While learning more about D-Day, I found out that 2 years before that fateful day happened, the Germans started construction on a long line of bunkers, pillboxes and landing obstacles. In the wrong spot. It was mostly due to this lack of being prepared that those brave men were able to storm that beach and even though plans went awry, by pure grit and determination they were able to pull it off, and claim a massive victory for the Allied Forces.

Quote of the Day: "In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable." -Dwight D. Eisenhower
