This Davidson Defense Aegis complete upper includes a 5-inch 9MM slim-profile barrel, a 7-inch freefloat M-Lok handguard in 6061-T6 aluminum, a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver, a 9MM nitride bolt carrier group, an AR-15 mil-spec charging handle, and a 9MM flash can. This is a blowback-operated platform.

Barrel and Handguard

The 5-inch barrel is constructed from 4150 CrMoV steel in a slim profile with a phosphate finish and a 1-in-10 twist rate. The thread pitch is 1-in-2x36, corresponding to the included 9MM flash can with a manganese phosphate finish. The 7-inch freefloat M-Lok handguard is made from 6061-T6 aluminum in black and keeps the handguard clear of the barrel along its full length. This upper is blowback-operated and does not use a traditional gas system.

Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier Group

The upper receiver is constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish. The 9MM bolt carrier group is made from 8620 alloy steel with a nitride finish. The included AR-15 mil-spec charging handle pairs directly with the upper receiver and bolt carrier group.
