Spring Dynamics .308 AR-10 Carbine Extra Power Buffer Spring
This Chrome Silicon recoil spring is made by Spring Dynamics to the highest quality standards available. It is stress relieved for long service life and Moly-Plated for corrosion resistance. These springs last for an incredibly long time and do not lose their strength. Test samples of these springs have been tested for over 100,000 rounds without a significant deterioration in power, performance or reliability.
The Extra Power Buffer Spring is designed for .308 AR Carbine Platforms that use the standard 7" depth M4 buffer tubes and the short 2.5" .308 buffer. Such as DPMS, CMMG, Bushmaster (post 2010), Mega, SA Defense, Colt 901 and many others. The extra power slows the bolt carrier's rearward travel and chambers the next round with more authority. It also works very well in AR-10 rifles with the 7.75" internal buffer tube length and the 3.25" buffers. It is the correct spring to use in either one. If you want a lower power spring in the 7.75" tube with 3.25" buffer you can also use the Sprinco Red spring. But the Orange spring is the stiffer of the two.
