Quote of the day: "Do I not destroy my enemies when I make them my friends??" -Abraham Lincoln

We are starting our President's Day weekend sale that will continue until Monday. For these newsletters, we will be finding our favorite quotes from George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and making them our centerpiece of the blog post.

We have all heard of the saying 'kill them with kindness', but that is not the whole saying. As Mr. Lincoln was saying, fighting fire with fire only makes a bigger flame, but when you are kind to someone who is fiery, you kill their fire with your friendship. It makes it much harder to be mad at someone when they are your friend.

So, in the spirit of Abraham Lincoln, reach out to someone who may be a little prickly with you and send out an olive branch of sorts. You never know what they are going through, and maybe they just need someone to show that they care about them to help them smile.
