The fire control pocket is unfinished and requires completion before the receiver can accept a fire control group. At approximately 4.4 oz after fire control pocket completion, it is compatible with standard Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receivers, standard Mil-Spec AR-15 lower parts kits, and standard AR-15 magazines including PMAGs. No jig is included with this version.

The Gen 2 lower is a hybrid carbon fiber and polymer blend that provides a corrosion-resistant alternative to aluminum lower receivers. The polymer composite construction will not corrode in the way that aluminum receivers can when finish integrity is compromised, and the carbon fiber reinforcement adds structural rigidity to the polymer base material throughout the receiver body. At approximately 4.4 oz after fire control pocket completion, the receiver is lighter than a standard forged aluminum lower. The construction is made in the USA to Mil-Spec tolerances and is compatible with standard Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receivers and lower parts kits across the multi-caliber AR-15 platform.

Structural Reinforcement and Design Features

The Gen 2 design incorporates full-length longerons along the fire control pocket to reinforce the walls of the most stress-critical area of the receiver body during fire control group cycling. Reinforced forward pin tabs address the front takedown pin area, which is a common stress concentration point on polymer lowers. The buffer tower uses a reinforced buffer tube mount for the rear receiver extension interface. The magazine well features a flared design with PMAG-inspired geometry and webbed and boxed reinforcement structure around the magazine well walls for positive magazine insertion and retention. The integrated metal threaded insert for the pistol grip screw provides a metal-to-metal thread interface at the grip mount rather than threading directly into polymer. The enhanced oversized integrated trigger guard provides additional clearance at the trigger area. Molded textured grip areas and a forward finger grate texture on the magazine well cover the exterior grip surfaces.
