You guys wanna know a fun fact about Thanksgiving? The woman who got Thanksgiving reinstated as a national holiday also wrote Mary Had a Little Lamb. Sara Hale is known as the Mother of Thanksgiving. Since the holiday was only celebrated in the Northeast, she decided it should be a national holiday and so spent 17 years campaigning for it!
Finally, President Abraham Lincoln said enough and granted her request to make it a National Holiday for all of us to enjoy! So, while you are sitting round the table and saying what you are thankful for, remember the girl who made this all possible in the first place!
