H-3 Series Heavy Buffers

Omega Manufacturing Inc. H-3 Series heavy buffers are an excellent upgrade that shooters can make to their AR-15 carbines. Heavy buffers can reduce felt recoil as well as reduce the cyclic rate on full-auto rifles. Standard carbine buffers contain three steel weights; The H-3 Buffer is solid construction. No weight movement means a quieter shooting gun. As a rule, shorter gas systems benefit the most from heavier buffers.

I needed a heavy buffer for several reasons. In this case to slow the action down. If you are looking for one in black...it may not come in that color. Mine was a dull silver color....it was right on the money..5oz and well built.

Mr.
I used this to replace a standard (3.0 oz) buffer in a 7.62x39 build. My weighs in at 4.875 oz; less than the advertised 5.0 oz but more than a H2 buffer (4.4 oz). It seems to be working well and has helped reduce the recoil. Good for the money, just be aware it might not be as heavy as you are expecting.

Mr.
I got this "in case" my carbine buffers arent right. I have to travel many miles to a range and i dont want the day ruined because i dont have an easy fix. this 5oz is a good mid wt. between other H2 and H3. hot or light loads (mfr) can affect cycling. buffers and springs come in different diameters. measure yours. this is ? i don't have it here.
