The Statesman is built around a Bear Creek 12.5-inch .308 Winchester barrel with a SOCOM profile, built from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel and finished in Parkerized, paired with an LR-308 billet upper receiver machined to the DPMS low-profile pattern and finished in Type III black hardcoat anodizing. It pairs a Guntec 12-inch ultra-lightweight thin M-LOK handguard with a steel flash can at the muzzle, running on a pistol-length gas system. BCG and charging handle are not included, leaving the buyer to supply those components separately.

Barrel and Gas System

The Bear Creek barrel runs 12.5 inches long, chambered in .308 Winchester and built from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a Parkerized finish and SOCOM profile. It carries a 1:10 twist rate and a 5/8x24 muzzle thread. Gas cycles back to the action through a pistol-length system, running a pistol-length gas tube and a .875-inch low-profile adjustable gas block finished in Melonite.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is an LR-308 billet unit, machined to the DPMS low-profile pattern and finished in Type III black hardcoat anodizing, built without a forward assist. The ejection port door comes included and assembled. Over the barrel sits a Guntec 12-inch handguard, free-floated in an ultra-lightweight, thin design using an M-LOK attachment system with a monolithic Picatinny top rail running along the top.

Muzzle Device

Capping the muzzle is a steel flash can, finished in black oxide and listed as compatible with .308, with a bore rated up to .350 caliber. It threads onto the barrel's 5/8x24 pattern and is secured with the included 5/8-inch black crush washer.
