The Invader Upper Build Kit is built around a 12.5-inch .308 Winchester Bear Creek SOCOM profile barrel with a pistol-length gas system, an LR-308 billet upper receiver in the DPMS low profile pattern, and a 10-inch free-float M-LOK handguard. BCG and charging handle are not included.

Barrel and Gas System

The 12.5-inch Bear Creek barrel is machined from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel in a SOCOM profile with a Parkerized finish and a 1:10 twist rate suited to .308 Winchester. It runs a pistol-length gas system through a pistol-length gas tube and a standard low-profile adjustable gas block finished in Melonite, with an .875-inch diameter matched to the barrel's .875-inch gas journal. At the muzzle, 5/8x24 threads carry the included .308 standoff muzzle brake rated for .30 caliber, secured with the supplied 5/8-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a billet-machined LR-308 unit built to the DPMS low profile pattern with a Type III hardcoat black anodized finish, and the ejection port door ships assembled. The forward assist is not included on this upper. It's paired with a 10-inch ultra-lightweight, thin free-float M-LOK handguard in a low-profile design with a monolithic Picatinny top rail, finished in black.
