The Desert Full Build Kit is built around an 8.5-inch .300 Blackout heavy profile barrel with a pistol-length gas system, a 7-inch M-LOK handguard in FDE Cerakote, and a complete BCG, charging handle, and Magpul BTR pistol brace. Lower receiver is not included.

Barrel and Gas System

The 8.5-inch barrel is built in a heavy profile and finished in Parkerized coating, giving it added mass for heat management along the shorter pistol-length platform. Its 1:8 twist rate is matched to .300 Blackout, supporting both lighter supersonic loads and the heavier subsonic loads the cartridge is often paired with. The pistol-length gas system runs through a dedicated pistol-length gas tube and a micro low-profile steel gas block sized to a .750-inch diameter, matched to the barrel's .750-inch gas block journal. At the muzzle, 5/8x24 threads carry the included GI A2 Birdcage flash hider, rated for .308 Winchester, 7.62x39mm, and .300 Blackout, and it's secured in place with the supplied 5/8-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with M4 feed ramps and finished in a black anodized coating, and it arrives with the forward assist assembly and the ejection port door, rod, and spring already in place. Over the barrel and gas system sits a 7-inch M-LOK compatible handguard built in an ultra-lightweight minimalist style, finished in FDE Cerakote to contrast against the black receiver. Because it's built without anti-rotation tabs, the handguard keeps a cleaner, lower-profile look along the barrel compared to tabbed designs.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

A complete bolt carrier group is included and made in the USA, rated across 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, .300 BLK, and .350 Legend, meaning the same carrier can carry over if this upper is ever rebarreled to one of those other chamberings. Alongside it, a mil-spec quality AR-15 M4 charging handle is included, sized to the standard AR-15 pattern rather than a side-charging or oversized variant.

Lower Parts Kit and Buffer System

The included Lower Parts Kit is a complete mil-spec set, covering the full internal fire control group along with the small pins, springs, and detents a lower needs to function. It comes with a black polymer A2-style pistol grip, along with the carbine castle nut and mil-spec receiver end plate needed to secure the buffer tube to the lower receiver. The buffer system pairs a 3-ounce standard carbine recoil buffer with a USA-made standard AR-15 carbine recoil spring, both cycling inside a mil-spec heavy-duty six-position buffer tube that also serves as the mounting point for the included brace.

Brace

The Magpul BTR pistol brace is finished in black to match the rest of the build's furniture and buffer tube, and it's built to mount to the standard mil-spec buffer tube supplied with this kit. With the brace installed, this kit arrives with every major component needed to complete a pistol build aside from the lower receiver itself.
