Barrel and Gas System

The 7.5-inch Bear Creek Arsenal "Irithyll" barrel carries a Manganese Phosphate finish, a corrosion-resistant treatment commonly used on pistol-length AR barrels that see hard use. Its 1:7 twist rate is on the faster end for 5.56 NATO, giving it the stabilization needed for a wide range of bullet weights rather than just lighter, faster-twist-oriented projectiles. The pistol-length gas system cycles through a dedicated pistol-length gas tube paired with a micro low-profile steel gas block sized to a .750-inch diameter, keeping the profile slim under the handguard. At the muzzle, 1/2x28 threads carry the included GI A2 Birdcage flash hider, rated for 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington, and it's secured in place with the supplied 1/2-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, a stronger aerospace-grade alloy than the 6061 used on some budget uppers, and finished in a black anodized coating for wear resistance. M4 feed ramps are cut into the receiver, and it arrives with the forward assist assembly and the ejection port door, rod, and spring already in place. Over the barrel and gas system sits a 7-inch M-LOK compatible handguard built in an ultra-lightweight minimalist style, finished in FDE Cerakote to contrast against the black receiver and buffer system. Because it's built without anti-rotation tabs, the handguard keeps a cleaner, lower-profile look along the barrel compared to tabbed designs.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

A complete bolt carrier group is included and made in the USA, rated across 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, .300 BLK, and .350 Legend, which means the same carrier can carry over if the upper is ever rebarreled to one of those other chamberings. Alongside it, a mil-spec quality AR-15 M4 charging handle is included, sized to the standard AR-15 pattern rather than a side-charging or oversized variant. Together, these two components mean the buyer isn't left sourcing a BCG and charging handle separately to get the upper running.

Lower Parts Kit and Buffer System

The included Lower Parts Kit is a complete mil-spec set, meaning it covers the full internal fire control group along with the small pins, springs, and detents that a lower needs to function, rather than a partial or trigger-only kit. It comes with a black polymer A2-style pistol grip, along with the carbine castle nut and mil-spec receiver end plate needed to secure the buffer tube to the lower receiver. The buffer system pairs a 3-ounce standard carbine recoil buffer with a USA-made standard AR-15 carbine recoil spring, and both cycle inside a mil-spec heavy-duty six-position buffer tube that also serves as the mounting point for the included brace.

Brace

The SB Tactical SBA6 is a 5-position adjustable pistol stabilizing brace, giving the shooter multiple length-of-pull settings to dial in rather than a single fixed position. It's finished in black to match the rest of the build's furniture and buffer tube, and it's built to mount to the mil-spec carbine buffer tube supplied with this kit. With the brace installed, this kit arrives with every major component needed to complete a pistol build aside from the lower receiver itself.
