The Ion Full Build Kit is built around a 4.5-inch 9mm barrel with a 6061 billet pistol caliber AR-15 upper receiver, a 4-inch free-float minimalist M-LOK handguard, and a complete 9mm bolt carrier group, charging handle, and SB Tactical SBA3 pistol stabilizing brace. Lower receiver is not included.

Barrel and Muzzle Device

The 4.5-inch barrel is machined from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel in a medium profile with a Nitride finish and a 1:10 twist suited to 9mm. The muzzle carries a 9mm flash can on 1/2x36 threads, secured with the included 1/2-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a 6061 aluminum billet unit built for the pistol caliber AR-15 platform. It's paired with a 4-inch K-style, ultra-lightweight minimalist free-float M-LOK handguard, built without anti-rotation tabs for a slim profile along the short barrel.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included bolt carrier group is machined from 8620 alloy steel with a Nitride finish and an external extractor, built for compatibility with Glock and Colt pattern magazines. A mil-spec quality AR-15 M4 charging handle is included alongside it.

Lower Parts Kit and Buffer System

A complete mil-spec AR-15 Lower Parts Kit is included, along with the carbine castle nut and mil-spec receiver end plate. The buffer system pairs an AR-15 9mm carbine buffer with a USA-made standard AR-15 carbine recoil spring, cycling inside a mil-spec heavy-duty six-position carbine buffer tube.

Brace

An SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable pistol stabilizing brace in black is included, compatible with the mil-spec carbine buffer tube used in this build.
