The 3 Squared is a 9mm AR-9 Full Build Kit built around a 16-inch direct blowback platform. The kit centers on a 16-inch M4 profile 416R stainless steel barrel with a stainless finish, 1:10 twist rate, and 1/2x36 thread pitch, paired with a black 9mm A2 birdcage flash hider and a black crush washer. The Freedom Factory Tactical dedicated AR-9 7075-T6 aluminum anodized upper receiver features an ejection port door with rod and spring, paired with a 15-inch ultra-lightweight minimalist rail freefloat M-LOK handguard in lightweight aluminum with a partial Picatinny top rail and no anti-rotation tabs. A complete AR-9 nitride bolt carrier group in 8620 alloy steel with an external extractor compatible with Glock and Colt pattern magazines, and a Mil-Spec AR-15 M4 charging handle complete the upper side. The lower hardware includes a complete Mil-Spec AR-15 lower parts kit, a Mil-Spec heavy-duty 6-position aluminum carbine buffer tube, an AR-15 9mm carbine buffer, a USA-made standard AR-15 carbine recoil spring, an AR-15 M16 Mil-Spec receiver end plate, and an AR-15 carbine castle nut.
