Suppressor Integration and Compatibility

The North Reach Whisper Pickle 46K is pre-mounted with a Hughes Precision thread adapter that converts the barrel's 37/64x28 threads to 5/8x24 male threads. This adapter allows the suppressor to attach securely to the barrel. The suppressor measures 5.5 inches and uses step radial and 40-degree baffle design for effective sound reduction. Verify suppressor compatibility with your barrel threading before assembly, and ensure the adapter is properly seated to prevent any movement during firing.

Blowback Operating System and Cycling

This kit uses a blowback operating system, which is standard for pistol caliber carbines and AR-platform .45 ACP builds. The 8-ounce buffer and standard carbine recoil spring are tuned to manage the recoil impulse of the .45 ACP round in this configuration. The system cycles reliably with both standard and subsonic ammunition when suppressed.

BTR Brace Configuration

The Magpul BTR brace is a stabilizing brace designed for use with a pistol lower receiver. It attaches to the mil-spec buffer tube included in this kit and provides a point of contact for your arm during firing. The brace is not a stock and does not convert this platform into an SBR. The configuration ships complete and ready for final assembly once the lower receiver is obtained.

Build Kit Component Clarity

This full build kit includes all components needed to complete a lower receiver except the serialized lower receiver itself. Included are the bolt carrier group, charging handle, lower parts kit, buffer tube, buffer, recoil spring, castle nut, end plate, and Magpul BTR brace. You will need to source a pistol lower receiver to complete the build. All components are mil-spec compatible and designed to work together without modification.
