The forced reset system mechanically resets the trigger after each shot, allowing for faster follow-up trigger pulls than a standard semi-automatic trigger while still requiring a separate trigger pull for each round fired. The anti-walk pins and anti-rotation design keep the drop-in housing secured in the lower receiver trigger pocket. The FRT-15L3 requires a full-auto compatible bolt carrier group for proper operation. A full-auto compatible BCG is not included in this kit and must be sourced by the buyer before the trigger will function as designed.

Buffer System and Rear Hardware

The Mil-Spec heavy-duty 6-position carbine buffer tube in 6061-T6 aluminum provides a solid and Mil-Spec compatible buffer tube foundation. The Sound Mitigation H3 buffer at 5.6 oz. is a heavier buffer choice that works within the buffer tube to manage the cyclic rate on the AR-15 platform, a relevant pairing with a trigger system like the FRT-15L3. The Mil-Spec metal receiver end plate and steel notched castle nut in phosphate finish lock the buffer tube down at the rear of the lower receiver.
