When I was younger I loved going to the range with my dad and my younger brother. We spent a lot of time at that range shooting all the different kinds of guns that my dad had collected over the years. My brother and I loved going simply because it was fun, but my dad was never going just to shoot. Our time on the range served as a chance for him to teach us the importance of firearms and how to use and handle them properly. ?

Looking back, some of my favorite memories were on that range, but more importantly, some of the most important life lessons that I have learned were on that range. Learning to respect firearms has helped me to be prepared and to know how to teach my kids the importance of them.

What lessons have you learned from owning firearms?
