The Davidson Defense Aegis Lightweight is an AR-15 complete upper chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 10.5-inch government profile barrel. The complete upper includes the upper receiver, barrel, handguard, bolt carrier group, and charging handle. A bolt carrier group and charging handle are included.

The 10.5-inch government profile barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel with a phosphate finish and a 1:7 twist rate. The muzzle is threaded at 1-in-2x28 and pairs with the included GI birdcage flash hider. The carbine-length gas system uses a .750 O.D. micro low-profile gas block in phosphate-finished steel, positioned beneath the handguard.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with M4 feed ramps and an anodized finish. The 10-inch freefloat M-Lok handguard is aircraft-grade aluminum in black, providing a clean forend with M-Lok accessory slots along its surface. The handguard length matches the 10.5-inch barrel, with the muzzle device providing clearance beyond the handguard.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included bolt carrier group is a complete AR-15 unit with a 9310 alloy steel bolt head and an 8620 alloy steel body, finished in nitride, and made in the USA. It is compatible with 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, .300 Blackout, and .350 Legend configurations. The mil-spec AR-15 charging handle completes the upper component set.
