The 11.5-inch government profile barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel with a phosphate finish and a 1:7 twist rate. The barrel handles the 5.56 NATO chamber and provides the threaded muzzle end for the included GI birdcage flash hider in manganese phosphate finish at a 1-in-2x28 thread pitch. The carbine-length gas system uses a .750 O.D. phosphate-finished steel micro low-profile gas block, which sits beneath the handguard and keeps the forend profile clean and unobstructed.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish. The freefloat M-Lok handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum in black, giving the build a clean forend with M-Lok accessory slots for lights, grips, and other attachments. The handguard length matches the 11.5-inch barrel, with the muzzle device providing clearance beyond the handguard.
