The Aegis Lightweight 16-inch Carbine-Gas .338 ARC AR-15 Freefloat M-Lok Handguard Rifle Complete Upper Build from Davidson Defense is engineered specifically for gunsmiths who prioritize freedom in their craft. This upper assembly features a 16-inch HBAR barrel constructed from 4150 CMV steel, with a 1:8 twist rate for optimal performance and accuracy. The barrel utilizes a carbine-length gas system, finished with a parkerized coating, and is threaded with a 5/8x24 pitch to accommodate a variety of muzzle devices, including the included AR-15 GI Birdcage flash hider.


The receiver is made from 7075-T6 aluminum and anodized for durability, while the handguard, styled in M-Lok, is crafted from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum, offering ample mounting options. A micro low-profile gas block ensures reliable function, and the bolt carrier is made from 9310 alloy steel with a nitride finish, highlighting the build's robust construction for consistent performance.
