Battle Arms Development Workhorse 15" M-Lok Free Float Rail Handguard

The handguard is an essential piece to any AR-15 custom build. Some of the most popular types of handguards are the freefloat handguards. These types of handguards cover the barrel of the gun and attach to the upper receiver by a barrel nut. Handguards on an AR-15 build perform many crucial functions. One of these functions is that of protecting the shooter's hand from the heat of the barrel. The handguard also provides something to hold on to which gives increased stability to the shooter. Each handguard comes with attachment points for sights/optics while still saving space for additional accessories to be attached which can add to the aesthetic appeal of the build.

It is recommended that handguards cover completely the gas system of the AR-15 so when shopping for a handguard please keep in mind your gas system length. About This Handguard: This Battle Arms Development Workhorse AR-15 Freefloat Handguard is 15" in length and boasts an M-Lok rail mounting system.
Profile: The Workhorse freefloat handguard is made with a slim profile. This is a great design for shooters with small hands and creates a unique look for the entire AR-15 build.
Finish: Type 3 hardcoat anodizing is used with the Battle Arms Development handguard to increase corrosion resistance.
Mounting System: To provide firm and simple mounting of different accessories in a variety of different positions, the Workhorse takes advantage of the M-Lok mounting system.
Made In USA: All Battle Arms Development handguards are precision CNC machined in Henderson, Nevada in the USA.
Material Of Handguard: Due to the need to have light yet strong handguards, the Battle Arms Development Workhorse AR-15 freefloat handguard is constructed from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum extrusion.
