What Is Titanium Nitride (TiN): It is a coating that is wear-resistant, inert, and reduces friction substantially. In The Past, this finish is used on CNC cutting tools, dies to enhance the life of tools & aerospace components. Now used in the firearm industry to improve Bolt Carrier Group life two to ten times, or more, over oxide or phosphate Bolt Carrier Groups. This amazing finish is comparable to DLC wear-resistant-wise but has additional self-lubricating qualities that make it superior to most DLC finishes.
