Decibullz ear pro

Safety is always important while shooting, especially if you don't want your ears ringing at the end of the day. It can be difficult to find proper ear protection that fits just right though, which can lead to discomfort and thus shorter shooting

Enjoy it while it's here

I was taking a walk with the hubby the other day and we stopped and watched as an icecream truck drove by. We stared at it, because it was the first one that we had seen since our childhood, and it took us by surprise. Before we knew it, the

Making new friends

We were talking in the office the other day about how relationships have molded our lives, for better or for worse. I told the story of how my nephew balled his little eyes out when he was left with me for the first time alone and how, now that

Family rivalry

My husband and his dad have had a rivalry for longer than I have known either of them. What is this rivalry? Well, they wrap each other's gifts for any occasion in a crazy way. As an example, this Father's Day, my husband is having his welder friend encompass my father-in-law's gift in metal. Welded completely shut with no way to open it except for with a tool and we are supposed to pray that he doesn't hurt his gift while he does this.

If your father is as competitive as the men in my life, good luck. However, they can normally be deterred if they have an amazing gift, and what gift is better than a brand new AR right as summer is coming back? That is why we have selected the following deals for you guys! Stay safe, and have a happy father's day!

Never not ask questions

I was listening to a podcast in the office the other day and I came across an episode that they did where they talked almost all in 90's lingo. As someone who was born near the end of that era, I was totally lost. I actually wrote down questions that I had so that I could ask my coworker who lived through that time. It still does not make any sense.

Something that I have seen in the gun community is that people normally end up with more questions than answers, especially when they are building their first ever upper build kit. So, if you have any questions, don't forget that the gun community is there to help! All you have to do is ask!

Little voices

There is something about that little voice in your head telling you to give in to temptation that screams louder when you see a deal that you really want. That little nagging voice that keeps telling you that you can do it, that you should do it.

I have seen that little voice win over even the most stubborn men. For instance, we had a wonderful person named Jenna who was so lovely as to bring the office doughnuts in the morning. We have someone in the office who doesn't normally eat breakfast because of a diet they are doing. They smelled the doughnuts and that voice was screaming at them until they gave in.

That is one of the reasons that we work so hard to keep quality items for a quality price for you guys. So that when you do give in to that little voice, your spouse doesn't get upset and you don't have to sleep on the couch. Check out the deals below and give in to the little voice. You deserve it.

Being prepared

My husband and I have this unspoken rule in our household that when we go shooting, he is in charge of making sure that we have all the ammo and I am in charge of making sure we have the targets and ear/eye pro and all of the little things. Well, one day, we were out shooting with his parents and it turns out that both him and his dad brought the complete wrong ammo for a weapon that was gonna be so much fun. We ended up doing an ammo run and laughing about it later though.

The point of this story is to remind you guys that it is important to be as prepared as possible for everything while you are out shooting. While you can't prepare for everything, you can start by checking out the deals that we have here at Delta Team Tactical to keep your range back stocked and ready to go!

Failing is not final

Quote of the Day: "I didn't fail the test. I just found 100 ways to do it wrong." -Benjamin Franklin

All to often, people think of failing as a final sentence. As if when they try and fail that that is it and they should give up. Like it is not worth trying again. That is not the case, especially when it comes to developing a skill.

There have been many times that have passed where people who have gone shooting with my family and I that don't want to go anymore due to not hitting a target when they wanted to. Normally, it is on their very first time out shooting. We almost always invite them back out though, and show them that if you would hold the rifle the way that we tell you to, that you won't miss the target. So, for all of those people in your life that just gave up on shooting when they weren't perfect the first time, grab a new accessory to show them a better way to shoot. Remember, stay safe out there.

Sling spotlight

Today we are going to do a product spotlight on one of my personal favorite AR accessories, the sling! We have a Delta Deals nylon sling with two sliders, mash hook sling adaptors and an ambidextrous end plate!

The Omega Mfg. Nylon Rifle Sling is constructed from 1.25" nylon web for comfort and support. The smooth nylon webbing aids operation and won't abrade your clothes while its matte finish polymer hardware is strong, quiet and won't mar your firearm. The strap is 52 inches long yielding a 48 inch working length. Will fit any rifle or shotgun with 1.25 inch wide sling swivels.

The MASH (Metal All-Purpose Sling Hook) is a gateless snap hook. It is an excellent alternative to common use snap hooks and provides a secure and fast sling connection point for weapons with larger eyelets. The MASH Hook is utilized by squeezing the center tabs. And the ambi sling adaptor end plate increases sling-attachment versatility on collapsible-stock rifles & carbines. Check it out with the other sales below!

Cycling issues

I was in our store front the other day and guy was trying to buy a heavier buffer for his .308.  He was having trouble with the bolt cycling when he was running his suppressor.  When his suppressor was removed it cycled flawlessly, but when he put it on it didn’t have enough pressure to cycle the bolt to eject the casing and load another round into the chamber.

This is a common thing that we see is having cycling issues.  It is common with AR pistols having too much gas pressure.  When you have a round that is typically used with a carbine or mid-length gas system when you drop that to a 7.5” pistol gas length to have was too much pressure.  Additionally when you are running both subsonic and supersonic ammo of the same caliber it can lack the pressure to cycle the bolt.  Much like the guy who was in the shop running suppressed and unsuppressed.  Also we see this with the larger bore rounds like .450 Bushmaster, .458 SOCOM, and 12.7x42 (.50 Beowulf) where they have too much pressure with the gas system.

While this isn’t always the case, and swapping buffers can be a simple and effective solution to this problem, running an adjustable gas block is also a great solution.  This way you can dial in specifically to both your weapon and even make micro adjustments to account for different types and weights of ammunition.

Not to old

A couple of us from the office were talking about how technology has changed in such a short period of time. Three of us are in what we call 'the younglings office' because it houses 2 of the 3 youngest people in the office. We were talking about it because my coworker pointed out how she was surprised that I knew a reference from way back in 1978, the Fonz.

There are many things that we have today that were so different not so long ago. As an example, VCR is not really a thing anymore. Nor are cassette tapes or even driving manual cars anymore. They have all been phased out and exchanged for blu ray and streaming and cars that shift automatically. Something that has not been phased out is how much money you can save by shopping at Delta Team Tactical on all AR parts and accessories. Check out the deals below for extra savings and stay safe out there!

D-Day rememberance anniversary

Today is the anniversary of one of the biggest days in the history of the World. Today marks the 46th anniversary of what is known as D-Day. Officially called "Operation Overlord", it was the biggest amphibious invasion in military history.

Being prepared is very important. While learning more about D-Day, I found out that 2 years before that fateful day happened, the Germans started construction on a long line of bunkers, pillboxes and landing obstacles. In the wrong spot. It was mostly due to this lack of being prepared that those brave men were able to storm that beach and even though plans went awry, by pure grit and determination they were able to pull it off, and claim a massive victory for the Allied Forces.

Quote of the Day: "In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable." -Dwight D. Eisenhower

Decibullz Custom Molding Instructions

In this video we'll show you how to mold the Decibullz earplugs to your ears. It's quick and easy!

In minutes with just hot water and a friend or a mirror, you'll have your own custom molded earplugs. Once shaped, these earplugs are extremely comfortable, low profile, and provide superior noise isolation. This advanced protection is perfect for musicians, concert goers, working with power tools, swimming, a day at the range, or any other loud activities you might do. Included are Two Decibullz Thermoplastic Custom Molds, Three Sets of Triple Flange Tips Small, Medium, Large, One Set of Max Protect MEDIUM Foam Tips, Earplug Carrying Pouch. Let’s get into the simple process of molding your Decibullz:

All the extras you’ll need is boiling water in a container, a spoon (or a mid length gas tube and block), timer, and a mirror, if you do it yourself.

Attach back plug and correct size silicone tip to custom mold. DON'T USE FOAM TIPS FOR MOLDING

Place your earplugs in the hot water for 5 minutes

Take it out

Give the earplugs 30 seconds to cool.

Insert the mold into your ear and firmly press the back plug making sure the silicone tip fits snugly into the ear canal.

With the pad of your finger, press the mold to fill the concha (bowl) of your ear.

While in an ear, let the mold cool for 5 minutes.

Repeat for the other earplug.

Make sure to test your Decibullz in progressively louder environments. It’s good to start out with a clap. Sounds should be hollow or muffled. If they aren’t sealed well or are uncomfortable, you will need to re-mold, place the mold back in hot water for 5 minutes, and repeat steps.
