The Aegis 16-inch Carbine-Gas 1:8 6.5 Grendel AR-10 Freefloat M-Lok Handguard Rifle Full Build Kit from Davidson Defense is a precision-engineered firearm suited for the discerning gunsmith. Chambered in 6.5 Grendel, this carbine features a 16-inch heavy (H-Bar) barrel made from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium with a nitride finish and a 1:8 twist rate. It incorporates a carbine-length gas system and a 5/8x24 thread pitch for versatility in muzzle device attachments, including a GI Birdcage flash hider. The freefloat handguard is constructed from durable 6061-T6 aluminum, finished with a Type III hard coat anodization and equipped with an M-LOK attachment system for accessory customization. The upper receiver is crafted from 7075-T6 aluminum, while the bolt carrier is made from 8620 alloy steel with a nitride finish. This rifle includes a Mil-Spec charging handle, a black Special Operations stock, and a heavy-duty 6-position buffer tube.
