The Davidson Defense Light Slinger 18-inch Rifle-Gas 1:7 5.56 NATO AR-15 Complete Upper is engineered for performance and versatility. This upper features an 18-inch government-profile barrel made from durable 4140 gun steel, finished with a nitride process for increased longevity. The barrel has a 1:7 twist rate, optimized for stabilizing a wide range of 5.56 NATO ammunition. The rifle-length gas system ensures reliable cycling, complementing the micro low-profile gas block designed for a .750 O.D. barrel.

The upper receiver is constructed from 7075 T6 aluminum with M4 feed ramps and an anodized finish, housing a complete bolt carrier group made of 9310 alloy steel. A freefloat M-Lok handguard, crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum, provides ample modularity for accessories while maintaining accuracy. Additionally, the upper includes an AR-15 TPI GI birdcage flash hider, suited for minimizing muzzle flash. This complete upper assembly is ideal for any gunsmith seeking precision and reliability.
