The Mercury Precision 15" AR-15 'Dreadnaught' M-Lok Handguard was designed by the influence of a prominent type of battleship, popular in the 20th century and the first of its kind, the Dreadnaught had such an impact when launched in 1906 that when similar battleships were built after, they were referred to as 'Dreadnaughts'. The arrival of these new warships renewed the naval race just as we strive to symbolize with the development of this new Mercury Precision M-Lok Handguard. With handguards being constantly perfected and modified to fit the needs and wants of our customers we aspire that this will be the next remarkable USA made handguard. So, it made sense to curate design inspiration from a vessel that became so superior that other companies and manufacturers follow in our footsteps.
This handguard is Precision Machined from 6061-T6 Aircraft Aluminum, the Dreadnaught AR-15 Handguard flaunts a smooth and clean design while maintaining structural integrity and is 'dehorned' for a non-abrasive, comfortable feel in your hands. To aid and abet in corrosion resistance, the Dreadnaught is finished with a Type 3 hard coat anodizing. A steel barrel nut is included, which is manufactured for extra strength to not bend, flex or snap while torquing the barrel nut during the installation process. This handguard installs clean and secure with only a few simple steps.
