The Spellcaster is a 7.5-inch .45 ACP AR-45 Upper Build Kit built around a Bear Creek Arsenal barrel and a "Vertex" enhanced pistol-caliber AR-15 billet upper receiver. The kit includes a Blem free-float M-LOK handguard, reflecting a cosmetic condition on that component rather than the complete kit. The build runs on a direct blowback system, requiring no gas block or gas tube. BCG and charging handle are not included, leaving the buyer to supply those components separately.

Barrel and Muzzle Device

The Spellcaster's barrel is a Bear Creek Arsenal 7.5-inch .45 ACP barrel built from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a Parkerized finish and an M4 contour. It carries a 1:16 twist rate, a .578x28 muzzle thread, and a .750-inch gas block journal, and it operates on a direct blowback system that requires no gas block or gas tube. An AR-15 .45 ACP birdcage muzzle brake finished in manganese phosphate is installed at the muzzle using the matching .578x28 thread pattern, secured with the included 5/8-inch black crush washer. Together these components define the barrel group that anchors the rest of the upper.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a "Vertex" enhanced pistol-caliber AR-15 billet unit, giving the Spellcaster its upper-side structural core. It's paired with a Blem free-float M-LOK handguard, 7 inches long, with a full-length Picatinny top rail and integrated QD mounts alongside its M-LOK accessory slots. This handguard does not include anti-rotation tabs. Both the receiver and handguard are matched to the barrel's dimensions and thread specifications supplied with this kit.
