Big Iron w/SBA5 Brace 7.5-inch 10mm AR-15 Full Build Kit

The Big Iron is a Full Build Kit built around a 7.5-inch 10mm Auto barrel with an M4 contour, built from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel and finished in Parkerized, paired with a "Vertex" enhanced pistol-caliber billet upper receiver. It pairs a 7-inch free-float M-LOK handguard with an integrated hand stop and a steel flash can at the muzzle, operating on a blowback system that requires no gas system. A PCC bolt assembly, Mil-Spec charging handle, complete Lower Parts Kit, PCC buffer-system components, and an SB Tactical SBA5 pistol stabilizing brace round out the rest of the build. The lower receiver is not included, leaving the buyer to select and supply that component separately.

Barrel and Operating System

The barrel runs 7.5 inches long, chambered in 10mm Auto and built from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a Parkerized finish and M4 contour. It carries a 1:16 twist rate and a 9/16x24 muzzle thread. This build cycles on a blowback system, requiring no gas tube or gas block since the pistol-caliber carbine platform relies on bolt mass and recoil spring pressure to cycle the action.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a "Vertex" enhanced pistol-caliber billet unit, purpose-built for the AR-15 pistol-caliber carbine platform. Over the barrel sits a 7-inch free-float handguard, using an M-LOK attachment system along its length and featuring an integrated hand stop, finished in black.

Muzzle Device

Capping the muzzle is a steel flash can, built with a bore sized for 10mm and .40 S&W pass-through. It threads onto the barrel's 9/16x24 pattern and is secured with the included 5/8-inch black crush washer.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

A PCC AR bolt assembly is included, compatible with 10mm and .40 S&W and built around the blowback operating system. A Mil-Spec-quality AR-15 M4 charging handle rounds out the upper's operating components.

Lower Parts Kit and Buffer System

A complete Mil-Spec AR-15 Lower Parts Kit covers the fire-control and lower-control internals needed once a lower receiver is on hand. Behind it sits a Mil-Spec heavy-duty six-position carbine buffer tube, holding a heavy 8-ounce PCC buffer built for blowback-operated pistol-caliber carbines, along with a standard USA-made recoil spring. An AR-15 carbine castle nut and Mil-Spec AR-15/M16 receiver end plate secure the buffer tube assembly to the lower.

Stabilizing Brace

Capping off the rear of the build is an SB Tactical SBA5 pistol stabilizing brace, finished in black in a collapsible, adjustable design, built for a Mil-Spec carbine buffer tube and matching the buffer tube included with this kit.
