The Beehive w/SBA3 Brace is built around a 7.5-inch Bear Creek Arsenal barrel chambered in .45 ACP, paired with a 6061 aluminum "Vertex" enhanced pistol-caliber AR-15 billet upper receiver and a 7-inch tubular free-float M-LOK handguard. It runs on a direct blowback operating system, so there's no gas block or gas tube anywhere in the build. A PCC bolt assembly, Mil-Spec charging handle, complete Lower Parts Kit, carbine buffer-system components, and an SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable pistol stabilizing brace round out the kit. The lower receiver is not included, leaving the buyer to select and supply that component separately.

Barrel and Muzzle Device

The barrel is 7.5 inches long, chambered in .45 ACP, and built from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a Parkerized finish that resists corrosion and wear. It's cut to an M4 contour and carries a 1:16 twist rate, along with a .578x28 muzzle thread and a .750-inch gas block journal, even though this barrel's direct blowback system doesn't use a gas block or gas tube. At the muzzle sits an AR-15 birdcage muzzle brake chambered for .45 ACP, finished in manganese phosphate and secured with a 5/8-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a 6061 aluminum "Vertex" enhanced pistol-caliber AR-15 billet unit, giving the Beehive its structural core. Over the barrel sits a 7-inch tubular handguard machined from aluminum with a 1.77-inch internal diameter, free-floated off the barrel for a clean, uninterrupted forend. It carries a Suppressor-Ready design as a feature of this specific handguard, along with M-LOK accessory slots for mounting lights, grips, or other accessories.

Bolt Assembly and Charging Handle

Inside the upper rides a PCC bolt assembly built specifically for .45 ACP, cycling within the direct blowback system this build relies on. A Mil-Spec AR-15 M4 charging handle sits alongside it for manual cycling and clearing the action.

Lower Parts Kit and Buffer System

A complete Mil-Spec AR-15 Lower Parts Kit is included, covering the fire-control and lower-control internals needed once a lower receiver is on hand. Behind it sits a Mil-Spec heavy-duty six-position adjustable buffer tube, holding an AR-15 9mm carbine buffer and a standard USA-made recoil spring. A standard castle nut and Mil-Spec AR-15/M16 receiver end plate secure the buffer tube assembly to the lower.

Stabilizing Brace

Capping off the rear of the build is an SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable pistol stabilizing brace finished in black. It's built for Mil-Spec carbine buffer tubes, matching the six-position buffer tube included with this kit.
