The Davidson Defense Mutton Chops is a 9mm AR-9 Full Build Kit configured for the SBR Ready designation. The kit centers on a Bear Creek 10.5-inch 9mm barrel with a black nitride finish, 1:10 twist rate, and 1/2x36 thread pitch, paired with a 9mm A2 birdcage flash hider and a crush washer. The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish, M4 feed ramps, an ejection port door assembly, and a forward assist assembly, paired with a 10-inch ultra-slim freefloat Keymod rail handguard. A 9mm nitride bolt carrier group in 8620 alloy steel with an external extractor, compatible with Glock and Colt pattern magazines, and a Mil-Spec AR-15 M4 charging handle complete the upper side. The lower hardware includes a complete Mil-Spec AR-15 lower parts kit, a Mil-Spec heavy-duty 6-position buffer tube, an AR-15 9mm carbine buffer, a standard AR-15 carbine recoil spring, an AR-15 M16 Mil-Spec receiver end plate, and an AR-15 carbine castle nut. The Bear Creek barrel is 10.5 inches, chambered in 9mm, and carries a black nitride finish with a 1:10 twist rate. The thread pitch is 1/2x36, which matches the included 9mm A2 birdcage flash hider. A crush washer is included with the muzzle device. At 10.5 inches this barrel keeps the overall platform compact while covering the front end from muzzle device to upper receiver.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish, M4 feed ramps, an ejection port door assembly, and a forward assist assembly. The 10-inch ultra-slim freefloat Keymod handguard features Keymod accessory mounting slots along the body for accessory attachment in a slim profile design. These two components define the exterior structure of the upper assembly on this AR-9 platform.

9mm Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The 9mm nitride bolt carrier group is 8620 alloy steel with an external extractor, compatible with both Glock and Colt pattern magazines. A Mil-Spec AR-15 M4 charging handle is included to complete the upper component set.

SBR Ready Configuration

This kit ships without a brace and is intended for customers selecting their own final rear configuration. The buffer tube, buffer, recoil spring, end plate, and castle nut are included as part of the rear hardware, with the brace selection remaining with the buyer.
