The Black Thorne Complete Upper is built around a 16.5-inch .223 Wylde barrel with a mid-length gas system, a 12-inch Trinity Force FW P1812 KeyMod handguard, and a complete bolt carrier group and charging handle.

Barrel and Gas System

The 16.5-inch barrel is machined from 4150 steel and finished in Nitride with a 1:7 twist rate and a .223 Wylde chamber, featuring engraved markings. It runs a mid-length gas system through a stainless steel gas tube and a micro low-profile steel gas block with a .750-inch diameter. At the muzzle, 1/2x28 threads carry the included Crown muzzle brake, rated for .223/5.56, finished in Nitride and made in the USA, secured with the supplied 1/2-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with M4 feed ramps and an anodized finish, and it includes the forward assist assembly along with the ejection port door, rod, and spring. It's paired with a 12-inch Trinity Force FW P1812 KeyMod handguard featuring anti-rotation tabs.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

A complete, US-made AR-15 bolt carrier group is included, rated for 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, .300 Blackout, and .350 Legend, along with a mil-spec quality AR-15 M4 charging handle.
