The kit includes the upper assembly, bolt carrier group, charging handle, SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable pistol stabilizing brace, mil-spec heavy-duty 6-position buffer tube, 3 oz carbine buffer, carbine recoil spring, receiver end plate, phosphate-finished castle nut, and lower parts kit. The lower receiver is not included.

The barrel handles the 5.56 NATO chamber and provides the threaded muzzle end for the included GI birdcage flash hider at a 1-in-2x28 thread pitch. The carbine-length gas system uses a .750 O.D. steel micro low-profile gas block, which sits beneath the handguard and keeps the forend profile clean and unobstructed.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with M4 feed ramps and an anodized finish. M4 feed ramps support reliable cartridge feeding from the magazine into the chamber. The 10-inch freefloat M-Lok handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum in black, featuring a quad rail section at the front end, front and rear QD sling attachment points, a slant front profile, and anti-rotation tabs. The M-Lok slots along the handguard body provide additional attachment points for lights, grips, and other accessories. The handguard length matches the 10.5-inch barrel, with the muzzle device providing clearance beyond the handguard.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included bolt carrier group is a complete AR-15 unit built from 9310 alloy steel with a nitride finish, made in the USA. It is compatible with 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, .300 Blackout, and .350 Legend configurations. The mil-spec M4 charging handle is anodized aluminum and completes the upper component set.

SB Tactical SBA3 Brace and Buffer System

The SB Tactical SBA3 is an adjustable pistol stabilizing brace in black that pairs with the included mil-spec heavy-duty 6-position buffer tube. The 3 oz carbine buffer, carbine recoil spring, receiver end plate, phosphate-finished castle nut, and lower parts kit cover the core lower completion components outside the serialized lower receiver.
