The Davidson Defense Cottonmouth is a 5.56 NATO AR-15 complete upper built around a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver with an anodized finish and M4 feed ramps. The build includes a 16.5-inch medium profile barrel in 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a nitride finish, a 1:7 twist rate, and a 1/2x28 thread pitch, a freefloat M-Lok handguard in 6061-T6 aluminum with M-Lok positions at the 6 o'clock position, a micro low-profile 0.750 mid-length gas block, a GI Birdcage flash hider at 1/2x28, a nitride-finished 9310 alloy steel bolt carrier group compatible with 5.56 and .223 and .300 and .350, and a Mil-Spec M4 charging handle.

Satellite Barrel and Gas System

The Satellite barrel is a 16.5-inch medium profile unit in 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a nitride finish. It is chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 1:7 twist rate and a 1/2x28 thread pitch. The mid-length gas system runs through a micro low-profile 0.750 gas block, and a GI Birdcage flash hider at 1/2x28 is included at the muzzle.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish and M4 feed ramps. The freefloat M-Lok handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum with M-Lok attachment positions at the 6 o'clock position, providing a mounting surface for compatible accessories along the underside of the handguard.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included bolt carrier group is 9310 alloy steel with a nitride finish, compatible with 5.56, .223, .300, and .350 platforms, and made in the USA. A Mil-Spec M4 charging handle is included as part of the complete upper component set.
