The Davidson Defense DD-15 delivers 300 Blackout versatility in a complete AR-15 platform built for varied shooting applications. Featuring a 16 inch barrel with pistol length gas system, this rifle optimizes cycling for 300 BLK ballistics while maintaining a lightweight profile. The pistol gas configuration provides adequate dwell time for reliable function with both supersonic and subsonic ammunition when properly configured. Black finish maintains a classic tactical appearance across all components. An M-Lok handguard offers flexible accessory mounting without the weight penalty of full length rail systems. The Trinity Force Cobra Adjustable Stock allows length of pull customization for different shooter sizes and shooting positions. The DD-15 combines proven AR-15 ergonomics with 300 Blackout capability for tactical applications, hunting or suppressed shooting. Magazine is not included.
The 300 Blackout cartridge delivers substantially more energy than 5.56 NATO at close to medium distances while functioning in standard AR-15 magazines and bolts. This chambering excels with both supersonic loads for hunting and barrier penetration and subsonic ammunition for suppressed applications. The 16 inch barrel length maximizes velocity potential from factory ammunition while maintaining practical overall length. Pistol length gas system timing accommodates the pressure curve differences between 300 BLK and 5.56 NATO.
The pistol length gas system positions the gas port closer to the chamber compared to carbine or mid length systems. This placement provides appropriate dwell time for 300 Blackout pressure characteristics and ensures reliable cycling across varied load types. The shorter gas system also reduces overall rifle weight by minimizing gas tube length and allows for extended handguard coverage. Proper gas system timing supports function with both standard pressure and subsonic ammunition.
The M-Lok handguard provides direct mounting slots for lights, grips, bipods and other accessories without requiring separate rail sections. This system reduces weight and bulk compared to quad rail designs while maintaining secure attachment. M-Lok slots run along multiple positions for flexible accessory placement based on user preference. The handguard length accommodates various grip positions and mounting configurations for different shooting styles.
The Trinity Force Cobra Adjustable Stock offers multiple positions to accommodate different shooter builds, clothing thickness and shooting scenarios. Adjustability ensures proper eye relief for optics and comfortable reach to controls regardless of user size. The stock provides a stable platform for cheek weld consistency across shots. This feature makes the DD-15 adaptable for multiple users or changing equipment requirements without permanent modifications.
