This carbine buffer tube kit gives builders every component needed between the lower receiver and the stock in one package, finished in black for AR-15 and M16 platforms. It is built around a mil-spec heavy-duty six-position carbine buffer tube and includes a 3-ounce M4 government carbine recoil buffer, a standard carbine recoil spring, a carbine castle nut, and an ambidextrous sling adapter end plate. Because the end plate offers sling attachment on either side of the receiver, the kit also adds sling mounting at the rear of the lower. A stock is not included.

Buffer Tube and Buffer System

The six-position carbine buffer tube is built to mil-spec dimensions in a heavy-duty construction, giving it compatibility with mil-spec stocks and braces. Inside it, the 3-ounce M4 government carbine buffer (model AS-BF3) works with the standard carbine recoil spring (model 00S) to manage the cycling of a standard carbine-length AR-15 system. Together, they make a matched pairing for typical 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington builds.

Castle Nut and End Plate

The carbine castle nut (model AL-1053) secures the buffer tube to the lower receiver, and the ambidextrous sling adapter end plate sits at the rear of the lower beneath it. The end plate provides sling attachment points usable on either the left or right side, so the builder can mount a sling to suit their preferred carry position.

Compatibility

This kit is compatible with AR-15 and M16 pattern lower receivers using a mil-spec carbine receiver extension. A stock or brace must be sourced separately.
