The barrel is an 11.5-inch government profile unit in 4140 chrome moly vanadium steel with a nitride finish, chambered in .223 Wylde with a 1:8 twist rate and a 1/2x28 thread pitch. The carbine-length gas system pairs with a micro low-profile 0.750 phosphate steel gas block to cover the gas regulation side of the upper. A GI Birdcage flash hider in manganese phosphate at 1/2x28 rounds out the muzzle end.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish and M4 feed ramps, forming the structural core of the upper assembly. The 10-inch Ultra-Slim freefloat Keymod handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum in black, surrounding the barrel without contact and providing Keymod mounting positions for compatible accessories.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included bolt carrier group features a 9310 alloy steel bolt head and an 8620 alloy steel body, both with a nitride finish, compatible with 5.56, .223, .300, and .350 platforms. The BCG and Mil-Spec M4 charging handle work together to cycle the action and complete the upper side component set.

Brace and Buffer System

The Gauntlet Arms black high-strength polymer stabilizing brace is included with a heavy-duty aluminum pistol buffer tube. The buffer system consists of a 3 oz buffer and a recoil spring. A Mil-Spec receiver end plate and castle nut complete the rear hardware included with this full build kit.
