At Delta Team Tactical, transparency and compliance are core to who we are. We're writing to inform our valued California customers about significant changes to state law that will affect how you receive orders starting January 1, 2026.
Let's be honest—this update is not one we wanted to write, and it is probably not one you want to read. We're reaching out to inform our valued California customers about new state regulations (AB 1263) that will significantly impact how you receive orders starting January 1, 2026. Like many of you, we believe these restrictions are unnecessary and raise serious constitutional concerns regarding your Second Amendment rights. However, as a responsible business, we're committed to remaining fully compliant with California law while doing everything in our power to continue serving you.
We know this situation is frustrating for everyone involved—trust us, we feel it too. We're hopeful this won't be a permanent state of affairs, but until things change, we've developed a streamlined process to navigate these new requirements with as little hassle as possible. Our goal is simple: keep you equipped while staying on the right side of the law.
What's Changing?
California Assembly Bill 1263, signed into law on October 11, 2025, introduces new requirements for the sale and delivery of firearm-related products, including:
- Firearm accessories
- Firearm barrels (when unattached to a firearm)
- Firearm manufacturing equipment (including 3D printers and CNC machines marketed for firearm production)
This legislation is part of California's ongoing efforts to regulate "ghost gun" manufacturing and ensure that firearm-related products don't end up in prohibited hands.
What Does This Mean for California Customers?
Starting January 1, 2026, all California orders must be processed through a state-licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.
This is not a choice we're making—it's a legal requirement under AB 1263. The law mandates:
- Identity verification - You must provide proof of age and identity (18+ years old)
- Acknowledgment of California law - You'll receive notice about firearm manufacturing restrictions
- Signature required delivery - Items must be picked up in person with ID verification
- FFL processing - All qualifying items must go through an FFL dealer for the verification process
How Delta Team Tactical is Adapting
We've streamlined the process to make compliance as painless as possible. ALL California Orders will go on hold, regardless of whether these steps are followed. However, if these steps are not followed, the order CANNOT be processed.
Step 1: Complete Your Order
Add the required "California FFL ID Verification" item to your cart (this has NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE from Delta Team Tactical—it's simply for processing purposes).
Part Number: S-CALIFORNIA.
Step 2: Confirm with Your FFL
This is critical: Before completing your order, contact your chosen FFL dealer directly to:
- Confirm they're willing to receive your shipment
- Verify they can process the identity verification
- Ask about any transfer fees they may charge (these fees are set by the FFL, not by us)
Step 3: Select Your FFL Dealer
When you place an order, you'll be prompted during checkout to select a local FFL dealer (gun shop) from our provided list or add your own. We've compiled a map of FFL dealers to help you find a convenient location.
*Please contact your FFL before placing the order to ensure they will receive it.*
Step 4: Order Processing
All California orders will be placed on hold for verification. Once your FFL confirms receipt capability, we'll ship your order to them for pickup.
What This Costs You
From Delta Team Tactical: $0.00 - We are not passing any additional costs to you for this compliance requirement.
From Your FFL Dealer: Varies - Individual FFL dealers may charge transfer fees for processing your order. These fees are set by the dealer, not by us, and typically range from $25-$75. We encourage you to shop around and find an FFL with reasonable fees.
Important Legal Notice
Under AB 1263, California law requires us to inform you that certain activities are illegal without proper licensing:
- Manufacturing more than 3 firearms per year without a license
- Manufacturing firearms using 3D printers or CNC machines without a license
- Manufacturing firearms for sale or transfer without proper licensing
- Manufacturing assault weapons, machineguns, unserialized firearms, or other prohibited weapons
By receiving firearm accessories or manufacturing equipment, you acknowledge understanding these legal restrictions.
Our Commitment to You
We understand this adds an extra step to your ordering process, and we're not thrilled about it either. However, as a responsible firearm industry member, we're committed to full compliance with all state and federal regulations.
We've worked hard to make this process as smooth as possible.
Looking Ahead
We'll continue monitoring this legislation and any potential changes or clarifications from California regulators. We're hopeful that future adjustments may streamline the process, but for now, this is the most efficient path forward for serving our California customers legally.
Questions?
If you have questions about:
- The new law: Visit the California Department of Justice website or consult with a firearms attorney
- Your order process: Contact our customer service team

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these new requirements together. California customers have always been an important part of the Delta Team Tactical family, and we're committed to continuing to serve you within the bounds of the law.
