The Traject Upper Build Kit is built around a 20-inch 6.5 Creedmoor BC-10 barrel with a rifle-length gas system, an LR-308 billet upper receiver in the DPMS low profile pattern, and a Crest Series 19-inch M-LOK handguard. BCG and charging handle are not included.

Barrel and Gas System

The 20-inch BC-10 barrel is machined in a heavy profile and finished with straight fluting along its length, a treatment that cuts weight while still leaving plenty of mass for heat management and accuracy under sustained strings of fire. It carries a Parkerized finish and a 1:8 twist rate, a twist suited to a wide range of 6.5 Creedmoor bullet weights rather than just the lighter end of the spectrum. The rifle-length gas system runs through a stainless steel gas tube and a low-profile AR-15/LR-308 gas block sized to a .936-inch diameter, matched to the barrel's .936-inch gas block journal. At the muzzle, 5/8x24 threads carry the included AR-10 .308 Long Super Compensator muzzle brake, secured in place with the supplied 5/8-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a billet-machined LR-308 unit built to the DPMS low profile pattern, which keeps the receiver's external height closer to a standard AR-15 upper than a high-profile AR-10 pattern would. It's finished in Type III hardcoat black anodizing for added durability, and the ejection port cover ships already assembled rather than as loose parts the buyer has to install. Worth noting for anyone expecting a fully self-sufficient upper: the forward assist is not included here, which is a deliberate omission on this particular build rather than an oversight. Completing the upper, a Crest Series 19-inch M-LOK handguard, also cut to the DPMS low profile pattern, mounts over the barrel and gas system for a consistent, slim profile front to back.
