The Akali is a complete 9mm AR-15 pistol built around a 7.5-inch Akali HBAR barrel with a 1:10 twist and a Parkerized finish, a billet pistol-caliber upper receiver, and a 7-inch ultra-lightweight minimalist free-float M-LOK handguard. It includes a custom engraved lower receiver, a black polymer stabilizing brace on a heavy-duty pistol buffer tube, a MEAN Arms ExoMag Ejector 32-round magazine, and Trinity Force flip-up iron sights. The heavy profile adds a sturdy feel up front, while the minimalist handguard keeps weight down. This item is a complete serialized firearm and requires FFL transfer.

Barrel and Muzzle

The 7.5-inch Akali barrel is built in an HBAR heavy profile and chambered in 9mm Luger (9x19mm), with a 1:10 twist rate suited to a wide range of 9mm bullet weights. It is finished in Parkerized black, a matte, corrosion-resistant treatment. The muzzle is threaded 1/2x36 and carries the included 9mm A2 birdcage flash hider, secured with a 1/2-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a billet unit built for pistol-caliber AR-15 applications. It is paired with a 7-inch ultra-lightweight minimalist free-float M-LOK handguard, built without anti-rotation tabs for a slim profile. As a free-float design, it leaves the barrel free of handguard contact, and the M-LOK slots give the builder room to mount lights, grips, and other accessories.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included 9mm bolt carrier group has a carrier machined from 8620 alloy steel with a Nitride finish, which adds hardness and corrosion resistance. It uses an external extractor and is compatible with both Glock and Colt-pattern magazines. It is paired with a mil-spec quality AR-15 M4 charging handle.

Lower Receiver, Lower Parts Kit, and Buffer System

The lower is a black custom engraved AR-15 lower receiver, completed with a mil-spec lower parts kit, carbine castle nut, and mil-spec receiver end plate. The 9mm buffer system pairs a 9mm carbine buffer with a USA-made standard carbine recoil spring inside a heavy-duty pistol buffer tube.

Brace

A black polymer stabilizing brace is included and mounts to the pistol buffer tube used in this build.

Magazine and Sights

The MEAN Arms ExoMag Ejector holds 32 rounds of 9mm and works in a standard AR-15 magazine well. Trinity Force FS76 front and rear flip-up sights are included, molded from high-density polymer.
