Sharps Bros Forged Lower Quality

The Sharps Bros Gen 2 Livewire lower is a forged and CNC machined receiver built from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy. This material choice means you get a durable, lightweight lower that handles the stress of cycling without flex. The black anodized finish protects against corrosion and gives the lower a clean, professional appearance. Forged lowers are stronger than billet alternatives because the forging process aligns the grain structure of the aluminum, creating superior strength at the points where stress concentrates during firing.

Ambidextrous Bolt Release Design

The ambidextrous bolt release lets you lock the bolt to the rear from either the left or right side of the receiver. This matters if you shoot left handed or switch between hands during shooting. The bolt catch itself uses a threaded pin design for secure attachment. You still press the bolt catch lever to drop the bolt forward, but now both sides of the receiver have a functional release point.

KAK Blade Brace and Buffer System

The KAK Industry Blade is a fixed, non-adjustable pistol arm stabilizer brace molded from glass-filled polymer. It mounts to the heavy duty pistol buffer tube included in this kit. The brace features a sling loop for attachment points and maintains a compact profile compared to full stocks. The buffer system uses a standard carbine recoil buffer at 3 ounces paired with a standard carbine recoil spring. This combination cycles reliably in most AR-15 pistol calibers and manages recoil impulse in a platform without a traditional shoulder stock.
