The Holdfast w/Magpul BTR Brace is a Full Build Kit built around a 9-inch dedicated .22 LR barrel with a pencil profile, paired with a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver finished in Type III hardcoat anodizing. It pairs a 10-inch free-float M-LOK handguard with a Davidson Defense Teardrop rimfire suppressor at the muzzle. A dedicated stainless steel .22 LR bolt group, Mil-Spec charging handle, complete Lower Parts Kit, carbine buffer-system components, and a Magpul BTR pistol brace round out the rest of the build. The lower receiver is not included, leaving the buyer to select and supply that component separately.

Barrel and Suppressor

The barrel runs 9 inches long, built specifically for .22 LR in a pencil profile rather than a heavier contour, with a 1/2x28 muzzle thread. Mounted at the muzzle is a Davidson Defense Teardrop suppressor, a K-baffle rimfire design rated for .22 LR and machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, finished in black anodizing. It measures 5.75 inches long and 1 inch in diameter, weighing 3.4 ounces, and threads onto the barrel's 1/2x28 pattern.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in Type III hardcoat anodizing, cut with M4 feed ramps for smooth feeding and fitted with a forward assist. The ejection port carries a standard .223/5.56 door with its rod and spring installed. Over the barrel sits a 10-inch free-float handguard, featuring a quad-rail front section, front and rear QD sling mounts, a slanted front, and anti-rotation tabs.

Bolt Group and Charging Handle

The bolt group is a dedicated .22 LR unit machined from stainless steel, built specifically for this rimfire chambering rather than shared with centerfire calibers. A Mil-Spec AR-15 M4 charging handle rounds out the upper's operating components.

Lower Parts Kit and Buffer System

A complete Mil-Spec AR-15 Lower Parts Kit covers the fire-control and lower-control internals needed once a lower receiver is on hand, including a Mil-Spec A2 pistol grip. Behind it sits a Mil-Spec heavy-duty six-position buffer tube, holding a standard carbine buffer weighing 3 ounces and a standard USA-made recoil spring. A Mil-Spec AR-15 carbine castle nut and Mil-Spec M16 receiver end plate secure the buffer tube assembly to the lower.

Stabilizing Brace

Capping off the rear of the build is a Magpul BTR pistol brace finished in black.
