The Anvil w/SBA3 Brace is built around a 5-inch .45 ACP slim-profile barrel, finished in Parkerized, paired with a 6061 pistol-caliber AR-15 billet upper receiver. It pairs a 7-inch MFFAR7 free-float smooth handguard with a North Reach MFG Whisper Pickle 46K suppressor at the muzzle, connected through a Hughes Precision thread adapter. It runs on a direct blowback operating system. A PCC bolt assembly for .45 ACP, Mil-Spec charging handle, complete Lower Parts Kit, carbine buffer-system components, and an SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable pistol stabilizing brace round out the rest of the build. The lower receiver is not included, leaving the buyer to select and supply that component separately.

Barrel and Thread Adapter

The barrel runs 5 inches long, chambered in .45 ACP and built from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a Parkerized finish and slim profile. It carries a 1:16 twist rate and a 37/64x28 muzzle thread, cycling on a direct blowback system. A Hughes Precision thread adapter is fitted at the muzzle, stepping the .578x28 RH female input thread down to a 5/8x24 RH male output thread to accept the suppressor.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a 6061 billet unit built for the pistol-caliber AR-15 platform. Over the barrel sits a 7-inch MFFAR7 handguard, a smooth free-float design.

Suppressor

Mounted at the muzzle, via the Hughes Precision adapter, is a North Reach MFG Whisper Pickle 46K suppressor, machined from stainless steel and finished in black Cerakote. It measures 5.5 inches long and uses its own Bravo-pattern threading on both ends of the suppressor body for interchangeable mounts and end caps. Inside, it uses a combination of step radial and 40-degree baffles.

Bolt Assembly and Charging Handle

The bolt assembly is a PCC AR unit built specifically for .45 ACP. A Mil-Spec AR-15 M4 charging handle rounds out the upper's operating components.

Lower Parts Kit and Buffer System

A complete Mil-Spec AR-15 Lower Parts Kit covers the fire-control and lower-control internals needed once a lower receiver is on hand. Behind it sits a Mil-Spec heavy-duty six-position buffer tube, holding an 8-ounce 9mm buffer finished in black and a standard USA-made recoil spring. An AR-15 carbine castle nut and Mil-Spec AR-15/M16 receiver end plate secure the buffer tube assembly to the lower.

Stabilizing Brace

Capping off the rear of the build is an SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable pistol stabilizing brace finished in black. It mounts to the six-position buffer tube included with this kit.
