Sharps Bros Gen 2 Livewire Receiver Quality

The Sharps Bros Gen 2 Livewire receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum, one of the strongest aluminum alloys available for firearms. The forging process creates a stronger base material than billet receivers, and then CNC machining refines the geometry for tight tolerances and reliable function. The black anodized finish protects against corrosion while keeping the receiver lightweight at just 8.70 ounces.

Ambidextrous Bolt Release Design

The ambidextrous bolt release on this lower lets you drop the bolt from either side of the receiver. This is useful if you shoot left-handed or if you want the flexibility to operate the rifle from either shoulder. The bolt catch pin is threaded for secure installation and won't rattle loose during use.

Stock and Recoil Management

The mil-spec enhanced stock uses a standard carbine buffer tube with 6 positions of length adjustment. The rubberized recoil pad absorbs impact and prevents the stock from slipping on your shoulder during recoil. The included standard carbine buffer and USA-made recoil spring are sized for typical AR-15 rifle configurations and work with any mil-spec upper receiver.
